Skin is an American television series produced for Fox by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. Television . Between 2003 and 2004 a season with 8 episodes was created. The pilot episode was directed by Russell Mulcahy . The main characters in the series included Ron Silver , Kevin Anderson and Pamela Gidley .

The series is based on the tragedy Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare about a young couple who come from warring families. In the Los Angeles series, Adam is the son of a Mexican judge and Catholic prosecutor Tom Roam, who is running for re-election. Adam's friend, Jewel, is the daughter of Larry Goldman, a Jewish entrepreneur who controls the city's porn industry and whom Roam suspects of being involved in child pornography .

When the first episode was broadcast on Fox, in which the famous porn actress Asia Carrera had a guest role, 6.3 million viewers were counted. When the third episode was just over 4 million, the series was canceled. The remaining five episodes were only broadcast in 2005 by SOAPnet.
