Skoryky (Ukrainian Скорики ; Russian Скорики / Skoriki , Polish Skoryki ) is a village in Pidwolochysk Raion of Ternopil Oblast in western Ukraine, about 8 kilometers north of the Raion capital Pidvolochysk and 39 kilometers east of the Samtschyk Oblast capital Ternopil on the river .
On July 29, 2015, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Skoryky ( Скориківська сільська громада Skorykiwska silska hromada ). At that includes also the 13 villages Holotky ( Голотки ) Huschtschanky ( Гущанки ) Klymkiwzi ( Климківці ) Koschljaky ( Кошляки ) Losiwka ( Лозівка ) Medyn , Obodiwka ( Ободівка ) Paltschynzi ( Пальчинці ) Penkiwzi ( Пеньківці ) Prossiwzi ( Просівці ) Schtschasniwka ( Щаснівка ) Terpyliwka ( Терпилівка ) and Worobijiwka ( Воробіївка ).
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1598 and initially belonged to the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania (in the Podolia Voivodeship ). From 1774 to 1918, with an interruption between 1810 and 1815, when he had to be ceded to Russia as part of the Tarnopol district , he came under his Polish name Skoryki to the Austrian crown land Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria .
After the end of the First World War , the village became part of Poland (as Skoryki in the Voivodeship of Tarnopol , Powiat Zbaraż , Gmina Skoryki ), was occupied by the Soviet Union in the Second World War from 1939 to 1941 and then by Germany until 1944 and was incorporated into the Galicia district .
After the end of the war, the village was added to the Soviet Union, where the village became part of the Ukrainian SSR . Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Skoryky has been part of independent Ukraine.
