Skviřín (German Speierling ) is a district of the city of Bor in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers east of Bor and belongs to the Okres Tachov .
history
Speierling was first mentioned in 1115 as Skuirino in a document from the Kladruby monastery . A fortress was mentioned in 1456. At that time Speierling belonged to 2/3 of the Lords of Schwanberg , on Bor . In 1641 the place is said to have been completely destroyed in the Thirty Years War. In 1903 the village received a railway connection with the Welding – Haid local railway. In 1930 there lived 262 residents in 54 houses.
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district .
In 1991 the place had 55 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 27 houses in which 68 people lived.
church
The former parish church died after the Hussite Wars . The old church was rebuilt in 1720 as a branch church of Haid .
