Skycap Records
Skycap Records is a German music label based in Münster . The label was founded in 1999. Distribution is carried out by Rough Trade .
Skycap has among other artists such as Mi Solar , Nels Cline and Thurston Moore , Green Apple Sea , Timo Shanko , Transglobal Underground , Rohan , Fully Celebrated Orchestra , Harpswell Sound , Camilla Ringquist , Babylon Circus , Kad Achouri , Timo Shanko, Katharina Franck , Di Grine Kuzine , Irie Révoltés , Jim Murple Memorial , Flatlands Collective , Seasick Steve , Bjørn Berge , Sally Nyolo , Tinariwen , Dr. Woggle & the Radio , The Senior Allstars , the "Quartet" Mary Halvorson , Jessica Pavone , Devin Hoff , Ches Smith , the musicians Noam Weinstein , Phil Vetter , the bands Kapelle Petra , The Levellers and the musician Maria Kalaniemi under contract. Other artists are Mocha , Berni Mayer , Anders Parker , Emma Russack , Federico Ughi , International Moods (a project by FM Einheit ), Jack Ladder , Mdungu and Movits!
In addition to the individual releases by the artists and bands, the label also released the sampler Move Against G8 in 2007 . The profits from the sale of the sampler are used to finance the “Move-against-G8” cultural program as part of the G8 summit in 2007 in Heiligendamm.
