Slănic-Moldova ( German Moldenmarkt , Hungarian Slanik ) is a small town in the Bacău district in the Moldova region in Romania .
The small town is also known as a health resort with powerful saline medicinal springs near Târgu Ocna .
Slănic is also the name of a formerly important state saltworks in Wallachia .
