Slaughterhouse (German slaughterhouse ) was an American rap group that consisted of Joe Budden , Crooked I , Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9 " . Since the beginning of 2011 she has been under contract with Eminem's label Shady Records . Its dissolution was announced in 2018.

Career

The group was formed when Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9 ″ appeared together as guest artists on the piece Slaughterhouse on Joe Budden's album Halfway House . In November 2008, the members finally officially announced that they had formed a group under the name of the song and subsequently published several songs that were made available for free download on the Internet. They were then signed to E1 Music in May 2009 for the release of their debut album. First, this should appear on 7 July 2009, but the video first appeared on July 12 of the same year for the first single The One , by DJ Khalil was produced and whose band The New Royales featured . The accompanying album Slaughterhouse was finally released on August 11, 2009 in the United States and on August 14, 2009 in Germany. In the US it reached number 2 on the rap album charts and number 25 on the sales charts .

In 2010, the group was heard on the album Recovery by the US rapper Eminem in the bonus song Session One , in which Eminem introduces Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden and Royce as new members of his label Shady Records . They were also on the track Loud Noises of the album Hell: The Sequel by Bad Meets Evil represented, which was published on 13 June 2011th In collaboration with Eminem as Executive Producer , the second studio album, Welcome to: Our House , was released on August 27, 2012. Slaughterhouse are featured on the 2014 compilation album Shady XV of their label Shady Records with two songs.

Then her third studio album Glass House should appear, but it was never released. In April 2018, Royce finally announced the breakup of the group da 5'9 ″.
