Société botanique de France
The Société botanique de France ( SBF , German: French Botanical Society) is a French learned society founded in 1854 that publishes, among other things, the journal Botany Letters and the Journal de Botanique .

The Société botanique de France was founded on April 23, 1854; The initiative to found it came from the meeting of the following 15 botanists on March 12, 1854:
- Antoine François Passy (1792–1873).
- Adolphe Brongniart (1801–1876), professor at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle .
- Joseph Decaisne (1807–1882), professor at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle .
- Alfred Moquin-Tandon (Christian Horace Bénédict Alfred Moquin-Tandon; pseudonym Alfred Frédol; 1804–1863), French zoologist, botanist, natural historian, doctor and publicist.
- Hippolyte François Jaubert (1798–1874).
- Louis Graves (1791–1857), General Forest Director.
- Viscount de Noé .
- Timothée Puel (1812-1890).
- Charles-Philippe Robin (1821-1885).

Publications
The Société botanique de France publishes the Acta botanica , which appears three times a year, as well as the Journal de Botanique .
