Sofia Belingheri (born April 24, 1995 ) is an Italian snowboarder . She starts in snowboard cross.

Career

Belingheri, who starts for the CS Esercito , took part in the European Cup for the first time in Cortina d'Ampezzo in December 2010 and finished 24th and 20th. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2012 in the Sierra Nevada , she came 29th and in the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2013 in Erzurum eighth place. In the 2013/14 season she achieved two second and one third place, second place in the overall ranking of the European Cup. She made her debut in the World Cup in January 2014 in Vallnord-Arcalís , which she finished in 37th and 34th place. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2014 in Chiesa in Valmalenco she was sixth in the individual and won the bronze medal in the team competition. In the following year she went to the world championships at Kreischberg on the 21st place and at the junior world championships in Yabuli on the fifth place. In addition, she won the silver medal in the team competition in Yabuli. In the 2015/16 season she won the European Cup in Lenk for the first time. In addition, she achieved second place in Grasgehren and thus reached fourth place in the overall ranking of the European Cup. The following season she won in Val Thorens and Colere and thus achieved third place in the overall ranking of the European Cup. At the season highlight of the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada , she finished 15th.

After first place in the European Cup in Grasgehren at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, Belingheri achieved second place in Lenk and 11th place in the overall European Cup standings at the end of the season. In March 2018 she became Italian champion in snowboard cross in Moena and second in the team competition at the World Cup in Veysonnaz together with Raffaella Brutto . In the 2018/19 season she achieved three eighth places, eighth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. At the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , she came in 15th place. At the beginning of the 2019/20 season she won the European Cup in Pitztal and achieved her first podium finish in the individual World Cup in Cervinia with third place. This was followed by two top ten placements and at the end of the season sixth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup.
