Men's wheelchair tennis singles at the 2016 Summer Paralympics .

The game was played in the Olympic Tennis Center in Rio de Janeiro from September 9th and 16th, 2016. A total of 64 players took part in this tournament. The field of participants also included Shingo Kunieda , Paralympic winner in this discipline in 2008 and 2012 . He was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the eventual gold medal winner Gordon Reid .
