Stefan Olsson (born April 24, 1987 in Falun ) is a Swedish wheelchair tennis player .

Career

Stefan Olsson is active in both singles and doubles. In 2011, he achieved his highest position in the world rankings with second place, in doubles he was fourth in 2009. His greatest individual successes were victories at the Wheelchair Tennis Masters in 2008 and 2010, as well as winning the title at Wimbledon in 2017 . In doubles, he won the Masters in 2008 with Peter Vikström , the US Open 2009 and Wimbledon 2010 .

So far, Stefan Olsson has participated in the Paralympic Games three times. In 2004 he reached the quarter-finals of the doubles competition with Peter Vikström, and in 2008 he won the silver medal with Vikström in Beijing . They lost the final against Stéphane Houdet and Michaël Jeremiasz . In 2008 he also made it to the quarter-finals. Olsson celebrated his greatest success in London in 2012 when he won the gold medal alongside Vikström. They defeated Frédéric Cattaneo and Nicolas Peifer in the final .
