Song Aimin ( Chinese 宋 愛民 ; born February 7, 1978 in Jizhou ) is a Chinese discus thrower .
She won silver at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan . A year later she competed at the World Championships in Paris , where she finished seventh. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , she was eliminated in the first round as 25th. At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 , she was tenth. At the Summer Universiade 2005 in İzmir she won silver. Shortly afterwards, she won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in Incheon . At the Asian Games in Doha in 2006 , she won gold again. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in her native Beijing , she narrowly missed the medal ranks and finished fourth. In Berlin, she reached 5th place at the 2009 World Athletics Championships .
