Sonja Faber-Schrecklein
Sonja Faber-Schrecklein (born Sonja Zumpfe on November 10, 1965 in Neuhausen auf den Fildern ) is a German journalist and presenter .
Professional background
Born in the Fildern , she grew up in Esslingen am Neckar and went to school there. After graduating from high school, Schrecklein began her journalistic career at the Esslinger Zeitung . After an internship, she wrote there as an editor for various editorial offices. She soon switched to a private radio station to work as a radio editor. In 1991 she started working for SWR television . From then on, Sonja Schrecklein worked for the news program Abendschau (since 1994 today's State Show Baden-Württemberg ) in the third . There she became known with the Landesschau-Mobil .
In the broadcast format Treffpunkt , Schrecklein reports as a street reporter on numerous live broadcasts such as carnival parades . During her career at SWR, she presented the music program Mundart & Musik together with Uwe Hübner and then Happy Ending , first with Tony Marshall , now with Hansy Vogt . She is also responsible for moderating the special format The Summer Festival of Folk Music .
Private life
She was married to Thomas Schrecklein from June 1991 to 2008. After the separation, she married Klaus-Jochen Faber in April 2011.
In addition to her work at SWR, Schrecklein is the board member of the German Childhood Cancer Care Foundation - Foundation for chronically ill children . The foundation is a co-partner of the Tannheim aftercare clinic in the Black Forest and is committed to families with chronically ill children.
Honor
- On May 5, 2001, she was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Medal of Merit in the castle in Ludwigsburg .
- On June 22, 2015, she was presented with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in the New Palace in Stuttgart .
