geography

Distance

The Spessart-Höhenstraße begins Stein in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis in Hessen in Steinau directly on the German Fairy Tale Route and leads via Seidenroth , Alsberg , past Mernes to the Wegscheide children's village . From there the route runs over its highest point (Hoher Berg, 521 m), as L2905 to Villbach, and crosses federal highway 276 a few kilometers south . The path continues past Wiesbüttmoor and Wiesbüttsee , where the Spessart-Höhenstraße reaches the district of Aschaffenburg and thus the Free State of Bavaria. As St2905 it runs to Wiesen . Here it divides the route for about two kilometers with the St2305 , leaves it on the summit ridge and runs over the northern part of Eselshöhe , past the Engländer to Sailauf. At the district Weyberhöfe the holiday road ends at the federal road 26 .
