geography

course

The Spießbach rises at an altitude of 270  m above sea level. NN in the western Wasgau on the southern edge of the Dahn district between the Rennberg in the north, the Kreuzeck in the east and the Great ceiling mountain in the west. Right next to it are two more springs that will soon flow together. The creek initially flows about 140 m south-southwest, then makes a gentle curve to the left, now flows about 200 m towards the south-east and then bends sharply to the south-west. He now runs through the Spießwoogtal between the Lüderkopf on his right and the Großer Roßberg on the left . At the Lindenfels and then a little further south at the Alte Kupp it forms several fish ponds one after the other and is fed a short time later by the Roßbach coming from the northwest . The Spießbach now moves southwards, flows past the Wappenschmiede , crosses under the state road 478 and finally flows into the Königsbruch nature reserve east of Fischbach bei Dahn at an altitude of 214  m above sea level. NN right next to the Brunnengraben in the Saarbach .
