The Spokane Clippers were an American ice hockey franchise of the Pacific Coast Hockey League based in Spokane , Washington .
history
The franchise was founded as Oakland Clippers in Oakland , California in 1936 . There they joined the Pacific Coast Hockey League , which had resumed play after a five-year break. As early as February 8, 1937, the team was relocated to Spokane , Washington , and changed their name to Spokane Clippers. The team stayed in Spokane for another two years before disbanding in 1939.
