history

The Seattle Ironmen were founded as a franchise of the Pacific Coast Hockey League for the 1944/45 season . In their debut season, the team immediately took first place in the North Division in the regular season and won the Lester Patrick Cup , the PCHL championship title , in the playoffs . The team was unable to continue this success in the period that followed. Only in the 1947/48 season did the Ironmen once again reach first place in the North Division.

Following the 1951/52 season , the PCHL was replaced by the Western Hockey League and the Seattle Ironmen stopped playing.
