Spork is a district of the city of Bocholt in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1974 Spork was an independent municipality .

geography

Spork is located in the northwest of the Bocholt urban area on the border with the Netherlands and was originally a purely agricultural scattered settlement. Spork is an old Westphalian peasantry that was first mentioned in 1188. There is evidence of a school in Spork in 1750.
