Stéphane Joulin (born January 6, 1971 in Trier , Germany ) is a former French handball player .
Career
The 1.81 m tall Joulin played as a right winger in the Ligue Nationale de Handball for US Ivry HB , with whom he won the 1996 cup and 1997 champion. He then moved to the German handball league for ThSV Eisenach . After one season he went to TV Niederwürzbach , with whom he reached the quarter-finals of the 1998/99 European Cup Winners' Cup . After the TVN's voluntary withdrawal in summer 1999, he returned to Eisenach. In the 1999/2000 season, the left-hander was the league's sixth top scorer with 179 goals in 29 games. After relegation in 2003 he went to the Spanish league ASOBAL to BM Ciudad Real , with whom he won the Spanish championship and the Copa ASOBAL in 2004. He then let his career end at Saint-Raphaël Var Handball . In 2005 he rose to the LNH, but had to relegate after one season. After rising again in 2007, he ended his career.
With the French national team Stéphane Joulin took part in the Olympic Games in 1996 and 2000 and finished fourth and sixth respectively. Between 1995 and 2000, Joulin played 111 international matches , in which he scored 344 goals.
