Stéphane Wrembel
Stéphane Wrembel (born February 27, 1974 in Paris ) is a French jazz musician ( guitar , composition ) who now lives in New Jersey and also works for film.

Wrembel, who grew up in Fontainebleau , began to play the classical piano at the age of four and received lessons for twelve years. He started playing electric guitar at the age of 15. He played pieces by Jimi Hendrix , Led Zeppelin and Joe Satriani in cover bands before he discovered Django Reinhardt . He began studying jazz composition at the American School of Modern Music in Paris. After listening to Latcho Drom , he took lessons from Serge Krief, Moreno Winterstein and Angelo Debarre . After graduating from the American School of Modern Music , he received a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, which he completed in 2002.
In the same year he released his debut album, Introducing Stephane Wrembel , which received positive reviews. Gypsy Rumble , which appeared in 2005 with guests like David Grisman , and Barbes-Brooklyn in 2006, also received positive reviews. Woody Allen used Big Brother ; one track from the album in his 2008 film Vicky Cristina Barcelona . Wrembel's fourth album, Terre des Hommes , was released that same year. In 2011 he wrote the Bistro Fada waltz for Allen's Midnight in Paris . He also wrote the theme songs for Jackrabbit Sky by Andrew Bergmann and for Swing Goodbye Baby by Daniel Schechter .
Wrembel played at Lincoln Center and at the High Sierra Music Festival , the Berkshire Mountain Festival , the Whistler International Music Festival and the annual Django A Go-Go Festival he created , where he and other musicians influenced by Reinhardt perform gypsy jazz .
In 2005 he released a guitar method in the style of the Gypsy Jazz Guitar .
