The Roman Catholic parish church of St-Martin in Attainville , a French parish in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 16th century. The building has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1912 .

history

The church, consecrated to St. Martin , was built in the Renaissance style from 1574 to 1576 according to plans by the architect Nicolas de Saint-Michel . The bell tower was added between 1667 and 1682, and renovations were carried out in the 19th century. The church was built from regional limestone .

description

The three-aisled church has a nave with five bays and a polygonal choir . The width of the nave is not even. It is powered by a ribbed vault covered. The bell tower stands on the first yoke on the south side. The sacristy was later added to the south side of the choir. A high tripartite lead glass window is inserted above the arched portal on the west side . Two further entrances are on the west side of the nave. The mighty tower has its own entrance on the west side. The choir is broken up by high arched windows.
