history

Kleinbardorf was a branch of Sulzfeld until 1697 and has been an independent parish ever since . The oldest part of today's church are the three lower floors of the church tower from around 1600. The nave was built in the years 1709–1712 by Joseph Greissing , in another opinion by Christian Gruber. Christian Gruber built the upper floor of the church tower in 1722.

description

The four-story church tower stands as a choir tower in the east. The uppermost tapered storey with bevelled corners and a Welscher hood has round-arched sound windows . The earlier sound windows on the third floor, on the other hand, are ogival . The lowest floor is the choir room with two windows and a round choir arch . The nave has three window axes. The windows are segment arcs . The western facade of the nave has a curved gable .

Furnishing

The altars and the pulpit were created in 1718. The main picture of the high altar shows the Annunciation . The baptismal font was built in 1592. The ceiling fresco, Glorification of St. Giles and Most Holy Trinity , was painted by Johann Peter Herrlein in 1781. The organ case on the western gallery dates from around 1750. The church has a four-part major peal with the tones ges´ b´, des´´ and ges´´. It spans an octave. The two older bells 2 and 4 were supplemented in 1964 by the Schilling bell foundry in Heidelberg.
