The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Blasii is in the Kirchgasse of Großwelsbach , a district of the town of Bad Langensalza in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia . St. Blasius is part of the parish Großwelsbach the parish area Kirchheilingen in the parish of Mulhouse the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The hall church , which is essentially medieval and made of border dolomite , was first mentioned in 1195. It has been changed several times. The nave of the fortified church is covered with a gable roof. The year 1503 is affixed to the mighty choir tower from 1503 in Gothic capitals . The windows in the north from 1503 are equipped with framework . The interior is covered with a wooden beam ceiling, which is supported by coves . The choir has a ribbed vault . The triumphal arch between the nave and the choir is pointed arch . The bell was cast in 1629 by Hieronymus and Melchior Moeringk from Erfurt.

The organ with eleven registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1888 by Friedrich Petersilie from Bad Langensalza.
