The Evangelical Lutheran listed church of St. Cyriakus stands high on a hill in the walled church cemetery of Weiden , a district of the rural community Am Ettersberg in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia . The mountain church St. Cyriac part of the municipal part pastures of the parish Buttelstedt in the parish area Buttelstedt in Kirchenkreis Apolda Buttstaedt the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

Altar area

The small hall church made of quarry stones was created in 1612 by converting an existing church. To the west stands the church tower , which is covered with a dome topped by a lantern . In the 18th century the nave covered with a gable roof was raised.

The interior of the nave has single-storey galleries and is covered with a wooden beam ceiling , that of the tower with a stone barrel vault. A simple pulpit altar from the middle of the 18th century belongs to the church furnishings . The organ with five registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in 1933 by EF Walcker & Cie. built.
