S: t Eriksplan is an underground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Vasastaden district . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The central location in the city center makes the station one of the most frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 25,300 commuters get on here.
The station went into operation on October 26, 1952 when the Hötorget - Vällingby metro section was inaugurated. The platforms are about 8 meters underground. The station is located between the stations Odenplan and Fridhemsplan . It is around 1.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
Until July 2017 it was possible to change trains to the Pendeltåg trains at the nearby Karlberg station . With the opening of Citybanan, there is now a subway station further, at Odenplan, a more direct transfer option to Pendeltåg.
