The Catholic parish church of St. Georg in Aidling , a district of the municipality of Riegsee in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen , was built in 1749. The church on Kirchberg 1, dedicated to St. George , in the middle of the cemetery, is a protected architectural monument .

The church of Aidling - the parish was first mentioned in the eighth century - was originally outside the village. In 1749 the church was added to the Loreto chapel, which had been built in the village ten years earlier , and was consecrated on December 10th. The baroque hall with a slightly drawn-in choir with a rounded end has an onion dome on the west side .

In the high altar picture, the church patron St. George is shown, how he thrusts the lance deep into the mouth of the dragon on a white horse with a waving coat.

During the restoration in 1899, the church was richly stuccoed in order to connect the nave and the choir room more harmoniously. During investigations before the exterior restoration in 1995/96, elaborate architectural paintings were uncovered on the tower and ship. Most of the colored version of the construction period has been preserved. It was protected with a thin overpaint and the frame was reconstructed on it.

In 1858 the church received a new organ from Füssen organ builder Balthasar Pröbstl with six registers on one manual . Willibald Siemann from Munich replaced this instrument in 1911 with a new building with nine registers, which Josef Garhammer repaired in 1978 .

The cemetery wall, an unplastered tuff and quarry stone masonry , dates from the 18th century.
