history
There was probably a church in Gereonsweiler as early as the 10th century. This church is mentioned for the first time in 1324. The church was a hall church . The church was enlarged in the 16th or 17th century. In the 1880s the structure was demolished because it had become too small. As a replacement, a new church was built around 1886 according to plans by the architect Theodor Kremer . This church was completely destroyed in World War II. In 1954 a new church was built according to plans by the Düsseldorf architect Josef Lehmbrock .
Furnishing
There is modern equipment in the church. The window was created by the artist Susanne Becker-Pass in 1989.
