St. Hubertus (also: Chapel Heistert ) is a Roman Catholic chapel in Heistert, a suburb of Kall in the Euskirchen district . Heistert must not be confused with the district Steinfelderheistert , which was originally only called Heistert.

The St. Hubertus chapel belongs to the parish of St. Nikolaus , which today forms the community of the parishes of St. Hermann-Josef Steinfeld in the diocese of Aachen with several other parishes .

history

The late Gothic choir of St. Hubertus, closed on three sides and vaulted on the inside, was built at the beginning of the 16th century. The church belonged to the parish Dottel . For the year 1550 it is documented that the pastor from Dottel had to hold a mass once a week.

In the years 1744/45 a new nave in Gothic style was added to the old choir. In 1870/71 the nave was renovated and extended to the west and a sacristy was added. In 1953 the chapel was assigned to the parish of Kall. In 2001 the chapel received a new parapet organ from the Fasen company.
