St. Maternus and St. Antonius (Roderath)
The Roman Catholic chapel of St. Maternus and St. Antonius in Nettersheim - Roderath belongs to the Bouderath - Holzmülheim -Roderath parish in the diocese of Aachen , which has existed since 1804 and which today forms the community of the parishes of St. Hermann-Josef Steinfeld with several other parishes . The house of God is dedicated to St. Maternus and St. Anthony the Great . It is a protected architectural monument .
A chapel was built in Roderath as early as 1736 . But it was canceled in 1849. In 1846 it was replaced by a new chapel, which was built elsewhere and which was completed in 1849.
The chapel is a plastered quarry stone building facing northeast with three window axes, a choir closed on three sides and a tower in front. It has 40 standing and 40 seats.
