Holzmülheim is an eastern part of the municipality of Nettersheim in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Euskirchen . The Erft rises in the village . The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Cross is worth seeing .

history

The place is first mentioned in 1307.

A chapel existed as early as 1150 based on archaeological research. Today's Chapel of the Exaltation of the Cross goes back to a chapel built in 1728, which was significantly expanded in 1904.

On July 1, 1969, Holzmülheim was incorporated into Nettersheim.

The Erft cycle path begins near Holzmülheim and ends in Neuss on the Rhine cycle path (Rheinschiene adventure trail).
