St. Apollinaris and Agatha is a Roman Catholic parish church in Scheven , a district of Kall in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The parish Dottel- Scheven today forms the community of the parishes of St. Hermann-Josef Steinfeld in the diocese of Aachen with several other parishes .

history

In 1857 the residents of Scheven decided to build a church in the village from their own resources. The foundation stone was laid that same year. The saints Apollinaris of Ravenna and Agatha of Catania were chosen as patrons of the Church . It was completed in 1861 as a single - nave neo-Gothic church with a western tower in front and a choir closed on three sides. The first service was held on October 17, 1861.
