St. Jenewein

The former St. Jenewein chapel was the Ladurnhof's own chapel in Schlanders in South Tyrol's Vinschgau . Mentioned for the first time in 1148, it was transferred to the Marienberg monastery in 1164 together with the court of Ulrich von Tarasp . The patronage of the Brixen diocese patron St. Ingenuin (Jenewein) refers to former episcopal canteen property.

The current building in late Gothic style was built after the Engadine Wars in 1499 and consecrated in 1508. The builder was Oswald Furter from Latsch .

The simple structure has a polygonal choir closure, a facade roof turret and marble block cladding of the windows and the door. The door is in the south wall, as is one of the two windows. The second, somewhat smaller window is let into the south-east wall, and above it, across the south wall, are the remains of frescoes . The roof has recently been re-covered with clay shingles. The natural plaster of the outer walls is provided with painted imitation cuboids. The northern outer wall of the chapel is integrated into the courtyard wall of the Ladurnerhof and borders on Krankenhausstrasse. Inside there are no decorations other than three coats of arms. The shields with leaf decorations were attached to the sails of the net ridge vault around 1600 by Jenewein Ladurner. One shows the family coat of arms of the founder, another that of Abbot Leonhard Andri von Marienberg (1586–1606) and the third coat of arms is likely to be that of Count Helfenstein. The entire sacred furnishings including the altar were lost in the course of the profanation in 1786. Since then, the building has been used as a storage room.

After the profanation, the neighboring hospital church was available as a place of worship.

The building has been a listed building since October 24, 1980.
