St. Joseph in Ahütte

The Catholic branch church of St. Joseph in Ahütte , a part of the local community Üxheim in the Vulkaneifel district ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), was built in 1705. The church is a protected cultural monument .

The church consecrated to St. Joseph is a plastered baroque quarry stone building with two axes . The hall building , whose square nave has a side length of about six meters, closes with a three-sided choir with a width of 4.15 m and a depth of 5.50 m. The west portal and the two windows on each side of the eaves are closed with a rounded arch. At the west end the corners of the roof are broken and the choir is covered with a wide eight-sided dome , which is crowned by a slated lantern .
