history

The chapel, an exposed quarry stone building , was built in 1716. From 1924 to 1927 the dilapidated chapel was restored and the collapsed wood and clay ceiling was replaced by a barrel vault .

A slender roof ridge adorns the slate roof.

The wooden altarpiece from 1717 is supported by a sculpture of St. Leonhard , to whom the chapel was dedicated. Below is the chronogram : LeonarDVs PraesVL SanCTIssIMVs . The baroque high altar is decorated with columns , with a broken gable and acanthus cheeks . A statue of the Queen of Mary crowns the altar.

The two lead glass windows in the choir , St. Leonhard and St. Depicting Laurentius were created in 1926 by H. Meier glass painting in Bad Neuenahr.
