history
This church in the shape of a Romanesque chapel dates from the 12th century. On the north side of the church there is the former entrance portal with a beautifully decorated tympanum deep below the ground level because the church is at the lowest point of the place. A few years ago, the floor was excavated to gain space. However, around the church there is a drying ditch that drains and even carries water in wet years.
The fortified church , it is estimated that was in the late Middle Ages by a choir expanded eastward. A large, partly colored window adorns the east wall. The nave was increased considerably and was given its current shape around 1700. A former sacristy on the north side was demolished.
In the nave there is a medieval winged altar from around 1500. In 1700 the galleries and the stalls were installed. An organ was added to the nave in 1802.
The last construction work took place in 1900. The roof was renovated in the 20th century and the pulpit wall removed from the interior . Now the sanctuary is much brighter. Two large paintings dominate the church.
