description

The building history of the church, which is essentially medieval, is unclear. The church tower and nave were built differently. The church was rebuilt between 1541 and 1577. In the 18th century, the current appearance of the nave with a mansard roof and stairs to the galleries on the south side was essentially created . The mansard roof of the nave has a grooved eaves . The church tower in the west has four storeys and tracery windows from the 15th century in its upper parts . The hall church has a retracted, three-sided closing choir . Around 1787 the church was completely renovated. The tower received its bulbous dome on which an open lantern sits, which is crowned with a tower ball . The interior of the hall and choir was combined into one room by a shared hollow vault . The beginning of a groin vault has been preserved in the choir . A simple pulpit is from 1792. The round arched opening to the groin-vaulted tower is blocked. On the ground floor of the tower there are carved figures of a late Gothic winged altar : a bishop , Saint Margaret , John , an unknown saint , Saint Barbara and Bartholomew and three busts of apostles . The organ was manufactured by the Petersilie company from Gotha in 1922.
