The Parc des Sports Marcel Michelin (full name: Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin ) is a Rugby - Stadium in the French city of Clermont-Ferrand in the department of Puy-de-Dome . It is located on Avenue de la République northeast of the city center and is the home ground of the rugby union club ASM Clermont Auvergne , which is represented in the top 14 league . The facility offers 19,022 seats for spectators. Thereof 15,653 seats and 3369 standing room. There are 40 wheelchair-accessible spaces and 40 spaces for companions as well as 1527 VIP spaces. It is named after Marcel Michelin (1886–1945), a managing director of the tire manufacturer Michelin and founder and first president of the association. Michelin was a member of the Resistance . He died in January 1945 in the Ohrdruf Forced Labor Camp .
