French Rugby Union Championship 2019/20
The 2019/20 season was the 121st edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprised 14 teams in the top division Top 14 and 16 teams in the second highest division Pro D2 .
Top 14
The regular season of the Top 14 would have included 26 game days (one pre- and one second round), of which only 17 could be carried out. It started on August 24, 2019 and had to be interrupted on March 13, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic . On April 30, the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) proposed an early end to the championship after an extraordinary meeting with all members of the Executive Committee and the club presidents took place the previous day. As a result, the championship title was not awarded and there were no promotions and relegations. The LNR Steering Committee confirmed this decision on June 2nd.
