from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1994/95 season was the 96th edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprised 32 teams in the top division (today's top 14 ).

The championship was divided into three phases. It began with the qualifying round, in which eight teams played against each other in four groups. The four best placed in both groups advanced to the next round. The 16 remaining teams were divided into four groups of four teams each, and the top two in this group qualified for the quarter-finals. In the final, which took place on May 6, 1995 in the Parc des Princes in Paris , the two semi-final winners met and played for the Bouclier de Brennus . Stade Toulousain prevailed against Castres Olympique and won the championship title for the twelfth time.
