French Rugby Union Championship 1957/58
The 1957/58 season was the 59th edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprised 56 teams in the top division (today's top 14 ).
The championship was divided into two phases. It began with the group stage, in which eight teams played against each other in six groups. The five best in each group and the two best sixth-placed made it into the knockout round. Sixteenth, eighth, quarter and semi-finals followed. In the final, which took place on May 18, 1958 at the Municipal Stadium in Toulouse , the two semi-final winners met and played for the Bouclier de Brennus . Here, the set FC Lourdes against SC Mazamet through and won for the sixth time the championship.
