French Rugby Union Championship 1964/65

The 1964/65 season was the 66th edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprised 56 teams in the top division (today's top 14 ).

The championship was divided into two phases. It began with the group stage, in which eight teams played against each other in seven groups. The four best in each group as well as the four best fifth placed entered the knockout round. Sixteenth, eighth, quarter and semi-finals followed. In the final, which took place on May 23, 1965 in the Stade Gerland in Lyon , the two semi-final winners met and played for the Bouclier de Brennus . The SU Agen prevailed against the CA Brive and won the championship title for the fourth time.
