The 2014/15 season is the 116th edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprises 14 teams in the top division Top 14 and 16 teams in the second highest division Pro D2 .

Top 14

The regular season of the Top 14 consists of 26 game days (one first and one second round). It began on August 15, 2014 and lasts until May 23, 2015. The two best-placed teams qualify directly for the semi-finals and meet the winners of the barrage games, which are played between the third to sixth placed teams. The semi-final winners will meet in the final on June 13, 2015 and play for the Bouclier de Brennus championship trophy at the Stade de France . The defending champion is the RC Toulon .

    The regular season of Pro D2 includes 30 game days. It began on August 31, 2013 and will last until May 9, 2015. The top-ranked team will be promoted directly to the top 14. The teams in places 2 to 5 contest a playoff for the second promotion place. Two teams relegated to the Amateur League Fédérale 1 .
