French Rugby Union Championship 1968/69

The 1968/69 season was the 70th edition of the French Rugby Union Championship. It comprised 64 teams in the top division (today's top 14 ).

The championship was divided into two phases. It began with the group stage, in which eight teams played against each other in eight groups. The top four in each group made it to the knockout round. Sixteenth, eighth, quarter and semi-finals followed. In the final, which took place on May 18, 1969 in the Stade Gerland in Lyon , the two semi-final winners met and played for the Bouclier de Brennus . The CA Bègles prevailed against Stade Toulousain and won the championship title for the first time.
