The city-building GmbH Regensburg (urban planning) is a 100% subsidiary of the city of Regensburg . It maintains an office in the urban area of Regensburg, where the entire property portfolio is concentrated. Here it is the “largest” provider of rental apartments; around 8% of the total stock of around 85,300 apartments in the city of Regensburg are offered as rental apartments through the municipal housing company. - WAL (living in all phases of life)
“Living in all phases of life” is a model urban construction project as a reaction to demographic change. The focus here is on communal, cross-generational living .
- IQ (IQ model project for inner-city residential areas)
Strengthening the residential function within the framework planning for the "Inner East" of the city of Regensburg. 40,000 m² of commercial space is defined as potential living space. The Bundeswehr's leisure and sports areas are being redesigned into leisure and sports areas for residents and the general public.
In addition, the neighborhood and the surrounding areas are networked with bike and footpath connections.
- LWQ (living quarters for young and old)
Günther Beckstein , then Minister of the Interior and later Prime Minister , started the first of a total of nine Bavarian model projects in 2005 together with Lord Mayor Hans Schaidinger in Regensburg. The aim was to achieve a significant increase in the quality of living and living through an attractive design of the home and surroundings.
The highest building authority in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior provided a total of 24.6 million euros from funds from experimental housing construction for the model quarters in the cities of Augsburg , Bayreuth , Dachau , Deggendorf and Neu-Ulm by the end of 2009 .
