The Stadtdekanat 13 is a dean's office in the Vicariate of Vienna city of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna .

It comprises seven parishes in the 13th district of Vienna Hietzing with around 31,000 Catholics.

Diocesan development process

On November 29, 2015, development areas were defined for all parishes in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The parishes should work more closely together in the development areas, form parish associations or pastoral care rooms. At the end of the process, new parishes should emerge from the development areas. The city dean's office 13 forms a development area with two sub-units:

  • Subunit 1: Lainz, Maria, Heil der Kranken, St. Hemma and St. Hubertus and St. Christophorus
  • Subunit 2: Maria Hietzing, Ober St. Veit, Unter St. Veit and Zum Guten Hirten
