Stan Parks is a special effects artist .

Life

Parks began his career on the film staff in 1980 with the film flop Heaven’s Gate by director Michael Cimino . He subsequently worked on The Stuff the Heroes are made of , Scarface and The Knife, among others . During his career he worked for Brian De Palma , Tim Burton , Quentin Tarantino , Alan Parker , Ridley Scott , Tony Scott and Michael Mann, among others .

2001 he was responsible for Hollow Man - Invisible danger together with Scott E. Anderson , Craig Hayes and Scott Stokdyk for the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects nominated, but the award this year went to the epic film Gladiator . Parks has received the Saturn Award twice; 1996 for Jumanji and 2001 for Hollow Man - Invisible Danger .
