Stanisław Salaterski (born November 4, 1954 in Lipnica Murowana , Lower Silesia , Poland ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Tarnów .

Life

Stanisław Salaterski occurred in 1973 in the Catholic seminary of the Diocese of Tarnów and received on 31 May 1981, the sacrament of the priesthood by Bishop Jerzy Karol Ablewicz . After years of chaplaincy in the diocese, he studied from 1984 to 1988 at the Catholic University of Lublin , where he received his doctorate in church history . In the following time he was a lecturer in church history at the Catholic University of Lublin and diocesan youth pastor in Tarnów. Since 1995 Salaterski was cathedral priest at the cathedral of the Tarnów diocese. In 2008 Pope Benedict XVI awarded him the honorary title of Papal Honorary Chaplain ( Monsignor ).

On 14 December 2013 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Tigillava and auxiliary bishop in Tarnów. The Bishop of Tarnów, Andrzej Jeż , gave him episcopal ordination on January 25 of the following year. Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Celestino Migliore , and the auxiliary bishop emeritus in Tarnów, Władysław Bobowski .
