Three diesel generator sets from the manufacturer Wärtsilä (type: 12V32) each with an output of 4,095 kW ( apparent output : 4,860  kVA ) are available for power generation. In addition, an emergency generator with 543 kW output (apparent power: 625 kVA) was installed.

The deck superstructures are located in the front area of the ship. There is one on the front of the deck house brick mounted heliport, the for the use of 61 S-Sikorsky suitable helicopters. In the rear area there is a crane that has been able to lift 2,500 t since a modification in 1996. The crane has an additional hoist that can lift 500 t. Originally the crane had a capacity of 1,600 t via two combinable hoists, each of which could lift 800 t. An additional hoist could lift 400 t. In 1992 the crane was upgraded and equipped with a hoist that could lift 2,000 t. The auxiliary lift was upgraded to today's capacity of 500 t. The crane can work at a height of almost 80 m. The additional elevator reaches around 100 m.

The ship can also be anchored using a total of eight anchors.

The open deck area between the superstructure and the crane is 2,560 m². It can be loaded with 5 to 10 t / m² and a total of 5,000 t.
