The village of Stechendorf is part of the town of Hollfeld in Upper Franconia .

Stechendorf is located about four kilometers south-southwest of Hollfeld and is at an altitude of 381 meters.

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the village became an independent rural community, which also included the villages of Gottelhof and Hainbach . In the course of the communal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , the municipality of Stechendorf was incorporated into the city of Hollfeld. At the end of the 1980s Stechendorf had 265 inhabitants.

The connection to the public road network is mainly created by two municipal roads that lead to State Road 2191 , which runs directly on the northeastern outskirts of Stechendorf . The Franconian Marienweg runs through the village .
