Stefan Beuse

Stefan Beuse (born January 31, 1967 in Münster ) is a German writer.

Career

After graduating from high school, Stefan Beuse worked in various advertising agencies a . a. as a photographer and copywriter as well as a journalist, u. a. for " Die Zeit ". Since then he has been writing short stories and novels.

In addition to a number of grants , Stefan Beuse received the City of Hamburg's Literature Prize in 1998, 2006 and 2013 , the State of Carinthia's Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt in 1999 and the GWK Prize for Literature . In the spring of 2005 he was Writer in Residence at Cornell University in Ithaca , New York .

In 2005 his novel Kometen was filmed under the direction of Till Endemann ( Eikon Südwest production ). At the 12th International Shanghai Film Festival 2006, Stefan Beuse and Till Endemann won the Magnolia Award for the screenplay for the film. In 2012 his novel Meeres Stille (Production: Julex Film, Berlin) was filmed for the cinema.

Beuse lives in Hamburg .
