Stefan Etzel

Stefan Etzel (born August 22, 1965 in Baden-Baden ) is a German psychologist . Who focuses on management diagnostics and development . In 2009 he became professor for business psychology at the FOM University .

Life

Stefan Etzel earned his diploma in psychology and a doctorate from RWTH Aachen University . In 1995 he did a research stay at the Educational Testing Service at Princeton University . In 1996 he accepted the invitation of the Russian Academy of Sciences for a research stay. In collaboration with Lutz Hornke , he put the focus on the development of psychometric, adaptive test procedures , such as the Adaptive Matrix Test (AMT) in 1997. Another focus was the development of job-specific online assessments with multimedia elements.

In 2004 Etzel became a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in the DRK in Göttingen. He then headed the central psychology working group of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg. He then switched to management consulting and was responsible for the Kienbaum Institute for Management Diagnostics . In 2009 he became professor for business psychology at the FOM University .

In his teaching, Stefan Etzel, as a professor, particularly represents business psychological topics from the fields of diagnostics and leadership psychology . In addition, he accompanies appointment procedures at the TH Köln and works as a mentor for new professors at the FOM University .

Etzel has published numerous publications on the subject of HRM and management diagnostics. In practice, he has accompanied the introduction and implementation of HR strategies and instruments in companies and organizations. His focus is on talent management and personnel selection and development .

Etzel is also the managing director of profecon and test author of pro facts assessment & training, which he founded in 2000.
